Justin Wee, Assistant Head Sommelier of Raffles Singapore, has been awarded Tourism Star for Food and Beverage at Singapore Tourism Awards 2026, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to customer service excellence in the hospitality sector.
Established in 2009 by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) as Singapore Experience Awards, the biennial awards were later renamed as Singapore Tourism Awards in 2016. The programme celebrates individuals and organisations that deliver exceptional experiences and achieve enterprise excellence in Singapore’s tourism sector. The Tourism Star for Food and Beverage specifically honours frontline service professionals from full-service F&B establishments who have delivered distinctive and compelling customer experiences.
The Singapore Tourism Awards 2026 received over 500 nominations across 17 categories. The rigorous selection process involved evaluations by a distinguished panel of judges, mystery audits, and interviews.
Justin Wee is one of 24 distinguished winners, his achievement rooted in over a decade of dedication to the hospitality industry.
Wee has established himself as one of Singapore’s leading wine professionals. At Raffles Hotel Singapore, he plays a pivotal role in beverage operations, most notably for La Dame de Pic – the one-Michelin-Starred restaurant that closed its doors in May 2024. Wee was instrumental in securing the restaurant’s first Michelin star and the hotel’s first-ever Forbes 5-Star rating. His responsibilities include curating award-winning wine lists, developing non-alcoholic pairings, and hosting exclusive wine events.
This recognition cements Justin Wee’s standing as one of Singapore’s most accomplished wine professionals – celebrated not only for his technical expertise but also for his consistent dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
